Hey there Seattle!,
Summer presents so many great opportunities for getting outside after work and on the weekends. Make sure you choose something fun to do this weekend! As a huge Michael Jackson fan in my youth, I am quite tempted to learn the THRILLER DANCE at Westlake this weekend!
My recent “fun activity” was heading out to Enumclaw for the King County Fair last weekend. We cheered for girls barrel racing at the rodeo, met a pirate, and observed impossible-seeming feats in the name of science at Professor Smart’s show! Keep your eye out for the Everegreen State Fair in Monroe on Labor Day weekend!

Track cycling is a competitive sport, where racers maneuver single-speed, fixed-gear bicycles around an oval track, known as a velodrome. Bicycling classes at all skill levels are offered seasonally. The track also hosts a range of racing events, from locally competitive races to USA Cycling Nationals. In particular, the summertime Friday Night Racing series (“The Show”) has become a sports tradition in the Seattle area, a thrilling action for racers and spectators alike. World-class athletes compete under the spotlights while family and friends picnic on the lawn or enjoy the view from the stands, at the beverage garden, and food trucks standing nearby. Spectator admission: $5 at the front gate, cash or check only. Kids 16 and under are free. The beverage garden opens up just before racing begins at 7:00, 21+ only, valid ID required to enter.
