1) Pond Peek with a Park Ranger
Our region is known for its mild, damp conditions, creating the perfect pond habitats for a multitude of creatures, from dragonflies to tadpoles. Join a park ranger for a closer look into the water at the critters that call these ponds home, and learn more about their fascinating (and often strange) lives by seeing them firsthand! We’ll be looking at live animals, so get ready to use those observational skills and learn lots!
Cost: Free! Pre-registration required. Pre-register at link below – two time options available. All participants must wear a face mask and maintain 6 feet of distance from those outside their household. Maximum enrollment 10. Outdoor only.

With a few simple ingredients, a little muscle and a lot of love, whip up home-made pillow-soft dumplings just like Nonna! Discover the mystery behind these fluffy treats and create a dish that can easily be done at home! Pair your final dish with a simple sauce, and you’ll have a deliciously hearty meal to serve up for any occasion!
In this fun and hands-on class, you will learn how to make two flavors of potato gnocchi: lemon-pepper & spinach herb. Our chef instructor will then teach you how to prepare a ragout to serve over your finished gnocchi. These flavors are sure to transport you straight to the hills of Northern Italy!
No experience necessary! Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive. The only requirement is a fun attitude and a love of good food. We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and get settled, wearing your mask.

The Treehouse at Camp Canlis.
The experience…It was phenomenal. All details from attire, food delivery, the decor were absolutely on point. The food was good… where every bite was nice, but portions were small. Seems like, for a tasting menu, the entree needed to be slightly more, or one more course would’ve been nice. Regardless, I would 100% recommend this for the experience alone. Canlis food will always be great, but their attention to detail, communication, and staff/service is incredible.
Let me know what you’re going to do for fun this week, and have a great weekend!
