Living in The Broadmoor Neighborhood In Seattle, WA
Living in Broadmoor Neighborhood – A Gated Golf Club Residential Community in Seattle, WA
Broadmoor is an 85-acre gated community of over 300 homes, located near the Arboretum and Lake Washington area of Seattle, WA.
Nestled in the lush greenery of the Pacific Northwest, Broadmoor offers residents a tranquil oasis with its beautifully landscaped surroundings. Boasting a rich history dating back to its establishment in the mid-20th century, this exclusive community has evolved into a premier residential enclave known for its luxurious homes and vibrant community spirit. The meticulously designed residences showcase a range of architectural styles, from classic to contemporary, providing a diverse and aesthetically pleasing neighborhood.
Residents of Broadmoor enjoy not only the scenic beauty of the Arboretum and Lake Washington but also the convenience of proximity to Seattle’s cultural attractions, upscale shopping, and fine dining establishments. With its meticulously manicured streets, top-notch security, and a close-knit community atmosphere, Broadmoor stands as a testament to the epitome of upscale living in the heart of Seattle.
It has a private 115-acre golf course, called the Broadmoor Golf Club, and feeds out into the popular upscale shopping area of Madison Park. It’s also very close to the prestigious, members-only Seattle Tennis club which sports 19 courts on 8 acres, and an amazing view of Lake Washington.
If you’ve ever walked around in one of Seattle’s largest Parks, the Arboretum, which butts up to Lake Washington and has a huge collection of trees, rhododendrons and azaleas – which bloom at Mothers Day, so we go for picnic there, and a private Japanese Garden… if you’ve ever been to the Arboretum, you may have come out at a gate and realized you were coming onto the back-entrance of a gated community called Broadmoor.
Visiting The Broadmoor Neighborhood
I recently previewed several homes for sale in the Broadmoor neighborhood, looking at comps for another multi-million dollar home I planned to list in Madison Park. Entering the facility you’ll find a manned guard station where you have to ask permission to come into the community. From there, you drive in past the beautiful golf course on your left. There are many beautiful older homes in the neighborhood, but the lot sizes tend to be fairly small. The owners of the home I was visiting were moving, but staying within Broadmoor, just moving to a different house within the development. How’s that for a high customer satisfaction rating?
I Knew A Guy Who Lived In Broadmooor, Once…
For a special high school dance, I went on a date with a lovely boy from my school who lived in Broadmoor. Before the school dance, he and a pal took another girl and me to dinner at the top of the Columbia Tower – the tallest building in Seattle – who should I run into in the Elevator but renowned local glass artist Dale Chihuly! I recognized him because of his eye patch. I tried to be frugal at this fancy restaurant and order a salad, but my benevolent companion encouraged me to eat a real meal so when the server came over I panicked and ordered the lobster! I have to say, it was very good! 🙂 I bet the waiter wishes I would come back again.
