Seattle Real Estate Investor and Broker Sees Buying Opportunity After Seattle Housing Price Pull-Back Driven By High Interest Rates
As an investment-minded agent, I help my clients look for opportunities when other people are scared.
I was running errands last night and saw the front page article on the Seattle Times newspaper at the supermarket, talking about Seattle’s cooling housing market.
I thought, “Oh no! What’s this going to say?” Then I read it.
So, time to share my take: No, we don’t need to panic. And maybe you can start to think about the opportunity this represents.
Obviously, if it bleeds it leads in the news. We don’t need to be too worried… but, at the same time, it is good to keep an eye on what’s going on.
If you’ve been sitting out of the market because you weren’t able to make a competitive offer during the buying frenzy of the last couple of years… this could be your chance to get in while you have a little more leverage to negotiate.
You can always refinance down the road when interest rates are low again.
If interest rates go down next spring, as mortgage brokers seem to be forecasting, I’m not sure this buying window will last.
Have a good Friday, and if you’re ready to get into the market, we have an opportunity in front of us. I am still buying…
We got this,
Emily
