Home Prices: Stabilizing Or Dropping?
What You Need To Know
For a while, everyone was saying they were “waiting for home prices to drop.” That happened for a minute, back in 2022.
Now in Seattle, are home prices on the decline? No.
We have been on the rise since mid-2023 (Minus our seasonal declines in Dec/Jan).
Basically, home prices are trending upward again, but not at the breakneck speed we saw during the Pandemic.
What this means for you? For potential homebuyers, the slower price growth is a positive development.
The extreme price hikes of the pandemic era made homeownership seem out of reach for many. With price increases now more controlled, buying a home is becoming more attainable, and future value appreciation remains likely.
The Buyer’s Perspective: Why Lynnwood Was The Winning Neighborhood
Kyle is one of my STAR first time home buyers! He purchased a condo in Lynnwood this summer, and we looked around at a lot of homes in Everett, Lynnwood, Shoreline and Seattle as part of our home search.
Lynnwood turned out to offer a great combination of value and convenience. With the light rail scheduled to come to Lynnwood at the end of this month, there has been a lot of building there and this area continues to be a hot spot for restaurants, shopping and furniture stores, of all things…
I liked living there due to the proximity to Seattle, Everett and Bellevue. No matter where you work, this location offers great flexibility and affordability.
