Remember: One thing that is very important about doing business with people you know, is that often times they know each other, too!
Right now, I am working with 3 people from my church on their real estate transactions, and I have recently worked with 4 others and been approached by another for help in the future.
Several of them have said they asked about me, and I checked out okay! Phew!
In such a tight-knit circle it’s important to do a good job.
Of course I always do my best, but when you get busy, it’s important not to let your clients fall to the wayside.
That’s why I spent every morning of my vacation last month working on client matters and making sure all my clients’ needs are addressed each day. (And yes, I even took a call at Sea-World). Making sure everyone feels like a VIP is an important way to ensure repeat and referral business.
Real estate looks glamorous from the outside, where it appears to be all about hand-waving at the kitchen with freshly-manicured nails, but when you’re on call 24/7 in a litigation-happy field, handling legal documents at all hours and addressing client expectations in a changing marketplace, it can be tough to keep everyone happy and all the balls in the air.
That’s why I lead with education and service. I want each person to work with to know that their needs come first and I’m there for them 100%.
