I just wanted to write you a brief note to let you know how much I’ve enjoyed working with you over the past year or so.
When we first met, I was trying to sell my house in Mocksville, NC and had made an offer (that was accepted!) on a new home for my boys and me. Before I met you, I’d had to postpone the closing on my new home 3 times because I couldn’t get my old house sold! We’d had it on the market with the realtor for months and we just weren’t getting any offers.
When I finally called you, I didn’t know what you’d be willing to offer me. But after we had a chance to talk things through in my living room, I think we came to a pretty good solution. You promised to make my payments to the bank every month without fail, gave me money to move, and even let me keep my equity in the home! Boy was I happy when I was able to tell my mortgage broker that I had my old house under contract!
Since then we’ve talked often: about processing errors at the bank, storm damage to the house, and how I should fill out my tax forms! Every time you’ve been polite and courteous and always did what you said you would do. Most importantly, the bank is getting paid every month and my family is really enjoying living in our new house, which is closer to my job.
I’m happy I’ve been able to serve as a reference for you in the past, and would be willing to do so in the future. I trust you to be a responsible person who looks out for my best interests and take good care of my property. Thanks for living up to all your promises and making it possible for me and my family to get rid of the burden of our old house so we could move on with our lives!
