Light Rail Comes North!
This week, I attended a real estate conference at the Westin hotel in Seattle Downtown and experienced riding the light rail from our new stop here in Shoreline, WA, which just opened last month.
I only saw one potential drug user in the stairwell at Westlake, but otherwise, it seemed pretty safe and clean! It was also super convenient, with adequate parking available when I arrived at the Shoreline stop around 7:30 AM

Why Going Solo May Not Be The Best Money-Saving Strategy
Choosing the right realtor is essential to ensure a smooth buying or selling experience, and we’re here to debunk common real estate myths to help you make an informed decision.
Myth #2: You Can Save Money by Not Using an Agent
As a seller, it might be tempting to forgo hiring a real estate professional to cut costs.
However, the value that a skilled agent brings—such as expert negotiation tactics, in-depth market insights, and strategic guidance—often results in savings that far outweigh any potential upfront expenses.
Without this support, you risk missteps, such as setting an unrealistic price for your home, marketing it poorly, or not being attuned to the market’s response to your property. This common error can lead to your property lingering on the market, selling to “low-ballers,” and ultimately costing you more in the long run.
“When it comes to buying or selling your home, hiring a professional to guide you through the process can save you money and headaches. It pays to have someone on your side who’s well-versed in the nuances of the market and can help ensure you get the best possible deal.” – U.S. News Real Estate

Increasing Demand: Condominiums in Downtown Seattle
Three years ago I sold my first 1-bedroom condo unit in the Nexus building in downtown Seattle for $530,000. This is an amazing luxury condominium with a breath-taking rooftop deck, rooms with a view and lots of common space to enjoy.
Now that more companies are going back to work full time, I expect to see more interest and price appreciation in the downtown condominium space.
If you want to get in on one of the last units for sale in this building, or another similar complex, let me know. I’m hopeful that the tides have turned for downtown Seattle, WA and we’ll be seeing great things coming for our city, soon!
