Keep the overall plan and replace the outdoor piece. A waterfront walk can become a museum visit, bookstore, Pike Place Market stop or coffee date.

Seattle weather is much easier to work with when the outdoor activity is only one part of the evening.

05 What are good Seattle ideas for Galentine’s Day?

Brunch, afternoon tea, a creative workshop, Pike Place Market, mini golf, a museum day or a group dessert outing all work well.

I especially like activities where everyone has something to do instead of trying to coordinate one large formal dinner.

Try glassblowing, a cooking class, mini golf, a ferry ride, an art museum, a live performance or another hands-on activity.

You can always add dinner afterward. Starting with an experience usually gives the evening more personality.

My shortlist would be Pike Place Market and flowers, the Space Needle and Chihuly, a walk-on Bainbridge ferry ride, or a waterfront date.

Each gives you something that feels connected to Seattle instead of a date you could recreate in almost any city.
