As the leaves begin to change, so does the real estate market. Fall is a unique season in real estate, offering opportunities for both buyers and sellers to make their move before the year ends. Are We Beginning To See Signs Of A Balanced Housing Market Emerging?
Over the past few years, sellers have dominated the housing market, but with more inventory available, that may be changing.
Over the summer, in the King County area, we have seen 2-3 months supplies of inventory, which is considered a fairly balanced market for this reason.
Expect that to change as we move into, Fall, though.
Labor Day and Back To School means the “kick off” of our Autumn Selling season, which is usually HOT!
We are already seeing a reduction of inventory and an uptick in multiple offers on homes. If interest rates continue to go down, as expected, buyers may see even more competition coming out of the woodwork.
If you’re thinking about buying a home, September and October are great months.
November – January usually offer fewer homes for sale, but opportunities for great deals and motivated sellers.
