We have gone to Mountlake Terrace for years at the highly-regarded Cascade Elite gymnastics center. This large ware-house like facility hosts lessons for four year olds, all the way up to competitive teams at the high school and college level. They also have a cool Tae Kwon Do Academy where my kids have taken lessons and achieved the rank of green belt – so far.

Mountlake Terrace restaurants and businesses feature more local mom-and-pops, located in small shopping centers than big-name franchises. In fact one small grocery store recently went out of business and has yet to find a new tenant. One of the more popular and well-known shops in the area is Double D Meats which features a variety of organic meat cuts, as well as butchering services for deer meat.
