Your Kenmore Real Estate Agent

Kenmore Real Estate Agent: Emily Cressey

By Emily Cressey, Broker, HomePro Associates at Keller Williams Greater Seattle. Updated October 2026.

Kenmore sits at the north end of Lake Washington, just up the Burke-Gilman Trail from my home in Lake Forest Park. I am in Kenmore all the time: at Log Boom Park, on the trail, at the grocery store and at listing appointments. I have helped Kenmore sellers with houses, condos, fixer-uppers and even a condo that had expired off the market before I came in.

If you are buying or selling in Kenmore, I would love to be your local guide.

A FastExpert Top Agent in Kenmore, 2025 and 2026

FastExpert recognized me as a Top Agent in Kenmore two years in a row. Awards are nice, but what I am proud of is how they are earned: by my clients’ results and reviews. Kenmore is a small city, and I have sold land, houses and condos here.

Walk Through Kenmore With Me

I filmed this walk through downtown Kenmore so you can see the shops, the new buildings and the everyday places locals actually go.

What Is Kenmore Really Like?

Kenmore is a small city with a lot of water around it. Lake Washington is on the south side, the Sammamish River runs along the edge, and the Burke-Gilman and Sammamish River trails connect you to Seattle, Bothell, Woodinville and Redmond. Kenmore is known for its float planes, and you can watch them take off and land at the north end of the lake while you eat your lunch.

It is close to Seattle and close to the Eastside, which is a big reason buyers choose it. Commuters use Bothell Way and SR 522 toward Seattle, or I-405 toward Bellevue and Redmond, and there are bus routes into the city. Downtown Kenmore has been growing, with newer apartment buildings, shops and gathering spots near the city hall area.

Log Boom Park

This is Kenmore’s front porch on the lake. There is a sandy beach, a playground, a long dock out into the water and room to launch a kayak or paddleboard. On a summer evening it is full of families. It is also walking distance from Lake Forest Park Town Center.

Saint Edward State Park

Saint Edward is one of my favorite places on the lake. There are forest trails that wind down to the shoreline, big grassy lawns, a playground, and the historic seminary building, which has been restored as a lodge with a restaurant. It feels like you left the city, but you are only a few minutes from home.

The Trails

The Burke-Gilman Trail runs right through Kenmore and connects to the Sammamish River Trail. Bike to Seattle, Bothell or wine tasting in Woodinville. On weekends it is busy with cyclists, runners, strollers and dogs.

A Few of My Kenmore Favorites

  • The Hangar at Kenmore Town Square: a fun coffee and community spot where you can hold a meeting or settle in for a board game.
  • Rhododendron Park: a popular neighborhood park with walking trails.
  • Kenmore Lanes: the local bowling alley. The shopping center next to it has a grocery store, a nail salon, a bank and a Starbucks, so if you need a break from walking the Burke-Gilman, you can head up there for coffee.
  • Kataliya Thai House: a little Thai place on Bothell Way that I love.
  • Cairn Brewing: right on the Burke-Gilman Trail along Kenmore’s “Brew Row.” My husband and I grabbed smash burgers there, then walked through a nearby park and saw two beavers. That was exciting.
  • Wildlife on the lake: keep your eyes open on the water. There is a lot to see at this end of Lake Washington.
  • The Fourth of July: a great place to watch fireworks shot off the barge on the lake.

Kenmore Neighborhoods and Homes

Kenmore has a wide mix of homes, which is part of why it works for so many buyers:

  • Mid-century ramblers on good-sized lots, often single-story, which buyers who want to avoid stairs love.
  • Split-levels and tri-levels from the 1960s and 1970s, many with room to grow.
  • Condos and townhomes near the main corridors and downtown, often the most affordable way into the area.
  • Newer construction on infill lots, with modern kitchens and home offices.
  • Waterfront and view homes along Lake Washington.

A Few Kenmore Homes I Have Sold

I have sold land, houses and condos in Kenmore, and every one needed a different plan. Here are a few.

An Improved Building Lot

Land

Selling land is its own skill. Buyers want to know what they can build and what it will cost to get there, so the marketing focused on the opportunity, not a house.

Condos compete with many similar units, so preparation and pricing against the right sales in the building made the difference.

I have also sold a four-bedroom tri-level here that drew multiple offers, and a condo that had expired off the market with another agent before I brought it back. That one is below.

A Kenmore Story: The Condo That Expired

Before I met the owner, a Kenmore condo had expired off the market. It was painted many different colors, full of heavy antique furniture and green decor, and priced too high. Buyers walked in and could not picture themselves living there.

Together, we had the owner move out, repainted to neutral, brought in professional staging and lowered the price. Condos take longer to sell than houses, and this one still took a couple of months, but it sold.

“An expired listing usually needs a change in more than one thing: the condition, the marketing or the price.”

Selling a Kenmore Condo or Townhome

Condos and townhomes compete with many similar units, so presentation and price matter even more. I help sellers with:

  • Preparation: neutral paint, decluttering and staging, or a simpler “vignette” staging approach on a budget.
  • HOA documents: getting the resale certificate and financials ready early, because buyers and lenders will ask.
  • Pricing: matching your unit against the right comparable sales in your building and nearby.
  • Timing: knowing how long similar units are taking to sell, so we set honest expectations up front.

How I Sell Your Home: The A-PLUS Method

Every listing I take follows the same five steps. It is the system I wrote up in my free A-PLUS seller guide, and it is how I keep a sale organized when life is anything but.

A: Assess

We walk the house together, talk about your timeline and your bottom line, and look at what similar homes actually sold for.

P: Prepare

Cleaning, paint, repairs that affect financing, and staging. I have contractors who will wait to be paid at closing.

L: Launch

Professional photos, video, the MLS, social media and my email list, all going live on the same day.

U: Urgency

Pricing and showing schedules designed to bring buyers in at the same time so they compete.

S: Sell

I negotiate the offers, the inspection and the appraisal, and I stay with you through closing.

What Locals Love

  • Lake Washington, Log Boom Park and the seaplanes
  • Saint Edward State Park
  • The Burke-Gilman and Sammamish River trails
  • Easy access to both Seattle and the Eastside
  • A good mix of home styles and price points

What to Know Before You Buy

  • Bothell Way and SR 522 traffic can be heavy at rush hour.
  • Some neighborhoods are hilly, with steep driveways.
  • Condo HOA health varies a lot from building to building.
  • Downtown is still growing, so expect construction.
  • Check drainage and slopes on wooded and hillside lots.

Buying in Kenmore

If you are moving here, I will help you choose the neighborhood first and the house second. Do you want to walk to the lake? Do you need a quick shot to I-405? Is a condo a stepping stone or a long-term home? Once we know that, we can move quickly when the right place comes up.

My take: Kenmore homes are taking a little longer to sell than a year ago, and about four in ten listings have taken a price cut. Buyers have more room to negotiate right now, so sellers who price it right from the start sell fastest.

Kenmore Real Estate Questions

My Kenmore listing expired. What should I do?

Look at three things: the condition of the home, the marketing and the price. In my experience, an expired listing usually needs a change in more than one of them. Book a free call and we will review it together.

How long do condos take to sell in Kenmore?

Usually longer than single-family homes. I check current days on market for your building and similar units and set expectations up front.

Is staging worth it for a condo?

Often, yes. Condos can photograph small, and empty rooms are hard to judge. Full or partial staging helps buyers understand the space.

Is Kenmore a good place to live if I work on the Eastside?

For many buyers, yes. I-405 is close, and you are between Seattle and the Eastside job centers.

What other areas do you serve?

I serve King, Pierce and Snohomish Counties, with a focus on Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Kenmore, Bothell, Lynnwood and north Seattle.
